November Round-Up!

Heyyyy!

We're officially at the end of another month! Which, although might be a little sad, the end of this month means only one thing - tomorrow we can officially start the countdown to Christmas and no one can tell us off for it! Woop, woop!

It's been quite the busy month for me; I started blogging again (hurrah!), I've been to two bonfire shows/ firework displays, I met my new little nephew for the first time, we decorated our flat, I saw the lights switch on in Nottingham for the first time ever, I went to Lancaster, ate pancakes, and Starbucks finally brought back their red cups!

And that's just everything I can remember off the top of my head and isn't including the boring things like uni work that I've had to do tons of this month - it's been a bit hectic.

It's been a month full of awesome sauce stuff but I cannot wait for next month and the arrival of Santa - Christmas is always a much bigger event and a lot more special when there are so many little ones in the family! I'm so excited!

A Bit Too Much Adventure

Hello!

Yesterday was just one of those days! My brother, his wife and one of my nephew's, James, decided to go to the Newcastle Metro Centre and I decided to tag along!

We had big plans for the day and it was supposed to be super relaxed... Not quite the way it turned out. No. We broke down. We could see the "Welcome to Newcastle Upon Tyne" sign and then the car started to judder along the road. We pulled into a lay-by to try and figure out the problem but, after figuring out we didn't have any breakdown cover, we spoke to a mechanic and decided it was going to be just as well to chug it along to the Metro Centre.

We eventually got there, and there was definitely no way we were ruining the rest of our day by constantly worrying about!

Lunch at Pizza Hut then led to a good shop - and we came away with a lot of Primark bags... Actually, I didn't get that much, just a top and some socks (I live on the edge, obviously) but no one else skimped on the clothes.

I spent a lot of my time drooling when we went into Paperchase, I couldn't help it! I managed to stop myself from buying anything though - I did see a notebook I already own in the sale though, I didn't look to see how much it was; I didn't  want to depress myself over how much I could have saved!

Once we managed to get hold of the RAC we treated ourselves to a nice little Starbucks and a Krispy Kreme each. Yummy! Did you know Newcastle has a drive thru Starbucks?! Not that we could use it seen as the car had decided to go into hibernation, but still! They should have more drive thru Starbucks!

Anyway, the lovely RAC man came and fixed the car and we were back on a very slow and extremely cautious journey home - we didn't want to cause the little car to want to take a break again!

It was a very giggly journey home thanks to Jj! He's going through his copy-cat phase, needless to say when his mama coughed he copied, we all laughed and, because he thought it was funny, he didn't stop, which just made us laugh more!

There was no better way to end my day than a bath, an episode of Suits and a piece of Malteser cake.

All in all, although a little bit more adventurous than we were hoping for, it was a great, little day out!

The Best Kind of Day!

Hello!

The weather has been soooo lovely in Nottingham today! What made it even better was that today was my first day of officially having nothing to do. At all. No revision, no exams, no work. Nothing.

So when I woke up this morning (it was probably closer to lunch time than morning, if I'm honest), I made an impulse decision to get ready and go into the city for the afternoon!

I had my bout of morning indecisiveness before I left, of course, not knowing what to wear. I'm not used to such nice weather! I thought about a dress but then decided on jeans and a loose camisole top, then nobody would be at risk of being blinded by extremely, ghostly pale legs... I don't tan well.

Anybody who knows the centre of Nottingham will know exactly where I was
sitting when I took this picture - any guesses? ;)

After getting the wrong bus into the city that didn't actually take me to the city - you would never think I'd been living here, and getting buses here, for seven months now - I had the loveliest of wanders around the city centre. It was nice to be able to just walk and not be caught among the rushing people and to see everybody enjoying the gorgeous weather too (although there were some people who made some... different... fashion choices but I love that, it added to the whole day!)

Starbucks have a happy hour from 3 - 5pm at the minute too, on all frappuccino's, so there's no guessing as to where I went for my refreshments ;)

All in all, it made for a lovely day reading my book and sipping my chocolate cream frappuccino whilst enjoying the sun - best kind of day there is, if you ask me!
